~~Hair Fumbling & *Bun~Fun**

On Saturday morning after an overnight moisturizing DC treatment i did my very first heat application to my natural, i blew dry my hair. i sectioned it into about 6 parts after detangling and applying the Giovanni Direct Leave-in. then at each part i applied the Shea Moisture Growth Milk to the whole section and then grab smaller sections applied grape seed oil to it prior to blow drying on low heat. after blow drying the smaller section i then clipped about 1/2 inch of my ends. i applied my mango butter directly to my ends and twisted the section.

After completing my entire head i simply divided each section into half, applied a dollop of Eco Styler gel to it and twisted.
Now my whole purpose of blow drying my  hair was to see if more definition of a twist-out would come out better in oppose to doing it on wet un-stretched hair......uhhmmm..... NO!!!!
sooo anywhoo, on Saturday evening i decided to try the other things i been wanting to try, the f aux bun with the f aux bang using the Marley braid. i had watched YT videos for about 2 weeks and was finally ready to attempt it.

For the most part it turned out ok, was not completely happy with the particular brand of Marley hair i had it was a much duller, dryer looking brand than what i had been seeing, but for the most part it turned out ok.

Check out my Bun-Fun!!~

i did  pretty good, its been close to a week i have kept this PS up. it has truly served its purpose and i will definitely be revisiting this style agian, maybe using the Kankaleon hair, saw a few vids on another variation of the this bun using that hair, so cool here are a few links to the faux bun tutorials i watched to acheive this look:

Betta Hair Day ~Hair Rant

So today is a new day, and a new hair day at that ...((i guess)). anywhoo, guess what came just in time to get me excited about my hair again.......my Henna!! yep pick up my package from Butters_-N-Bars for which i ordered the Jamila Henna and some Mango Butter.

Mango Butter is suppose to be just a little softer in texture as Shea Butter but basically serve the same purposes. and Henna is looked at as a strengthener of the hair as well as a natural hair dye.

so no choir rehearsal tonight, so definitely thinking a henna treatment is in the work for tonight and tomorrow night i might try my hand at actually blow drying my hair and attempting a Twist-out on my henna-ed-blown-dry hair for Sunday!!!
so i will come and update you on what's the happenings with my hair endeavors :-D

UUUGGHHHHH!!!!!!!! ~Hair Rant

Okay, so this morning i just felt like i have reached  my point. i tired, finished, done!!!! I am feeling like I am soooo OVER my hair right now.......I know I know I know , I am suppose to LOVE my hair and be proud and then some of you might be saying Natalie you don't know what you want to do, one day you miss/love your natural hair then others you giving up on it". well o h w e l l, say what you want I am very frustrated with my hair. I mean yes it has some growth to it but no hang time and technically i have been natural for a year + now and still NOOOOO hang time.
okay lets talk about how I spend literally hours twisting, braiding or whatever setting  my hair at night no matter how tired i am only to wake up in the morning to no definition, no curl no nothing but a cottony-looking bush of a mess. okay so then i say ok let me do some two-strand twists, thats a good low-manipulation style right.....WRONG, my thin, fine, sparsely  looking hair, every time be all scalp-y, meaning not full at all you can see ALL my scalp. and OMG shrinkage like really come on now and OH i know i am gonna get shunned by the natural hair police about this but~
I DON'T LIKE SHRINKAGE,  nah there i said it!!! .............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................**sigh**
as stated in the title this is just a rant.....me and Jazmine will live to see another day, another style.

no, so seriously there are only a couple of things i want to try before completely throwing in the towel. and even in that please understand, throwing in the towel does not mean getting a perm because honestly my hair did nothing with a perm , i mean nothing wouldn't hold a curl or style to save your life soooooo, no perm..........so what does it mean........**ponders**.......uhmm I'll get back to yall on that.

But  anyway i am currently contemplating blow drying my hair ( which i have NEVER done since being natural) and trying my twist-outs, braid-outs on  blowned out hair and seeing what kind of results i get from there. also my sister is wanting to try out some products she got for straightening hair on my hair, still praying about that one.the crazy thing about it is i am more so afraid that it'll be all straight and THIN and FRAIL looking .

already in fear that my hair is already damaged and i just cant recognize it, thus leading me to my other thought of going to a professional natural hair stylist, i have at least two in mind if and when i ever come up with the money :-/

soooo anywhooo that's that, if you have any comments, tips or anything on successfully blow drying and/or straightening my hair please feel free to leave a comment below!!!
